I.m running Digi 001 on a quicksilver dual 800 G4.

Whenever I go to the Sound Control planel to switch between my CD player playing through the built in speaker or Digi 001 interface, the computer becomes sluggish and sometimes crashes. This is really causing problems because I'm sure many people want to hear CDs and iTunes etc through their high quality Digi hardware. I cant use the speaker outputs on the back of the G4 because all of the new Quicksilvers have the new 'proprietary' connectors and I'm forced to use the Crappy headphone output. How can I fix this?? Can anyone help??

thank you!!

What OS are you running? I am running OS 9.1.2 and have no problems playing CD's and other media through my Digi monitors but I am also on a Blue And White G3. The only problem I do have is that some apps such as Reason, Live, Apple DVD and a few others don't like the Digidesign drivers and won't work properly but have no probs using Soundjam or Quicktime to play audio. I would look for some type of extension conflict that is happening maybe.
