The MM news
WWDC 2003 was worth the wait, lots of news, some were expected, others were rumors for months. Fortunately rumors can be right too  Now we have something to lurk after in the coming months. yeah... they need lots of fans to keep those chips cool I guess. I remember reading article about a year or two ago that IBM based processors ran more than twice as hot as comparable speed RISC processors on the Macs and consumed more energy as well.
I think it will be interesting to see how all this migration will work out for Apple systems. My poor G3 yosemite is almost at the point that it can't handle some of the new music apps and OSX without an upgrade so hopefully new processors will make G4 upgrades much cheaper as I love my G3 setup too much to part with and can't spend lots more on new system yet. -------------------- ----------------------------------------
