 4400 audio help please, how can i get my antique 4400 to run more than 3 tracks? |

hello
i have a 4400 with 96 mb and the standard hard drive and can only get logic or vst to run 3 tracks of audio before it complains, stutters etc |

Check system performance in Logic - is Disk I/O too slow ?
The normal HD is too slow. Get another audio disk & SCSI PCI card like Adaptec 2930. More RAM will help - at least 192 MB depending on system version. What's your OS version ? Keep away from OS 8 - stay with 7.6.1 or go straight to 9.xx. Best regards Walter |
