Hi, I have an iMac Power PC G3 and I'd like to make my own techo/dance music. I really liked the look of the eJay series however it's only available on the PC.

My question is are there any programs like eJay on the Mac? What I want is a program featuring lots of samples, ease of use (drag sample's to screen and place them where I want them) and covering a wide range of dance music (i.e. trance, acid, ambient, hip-hop ect). I'm a beginer so nothing to hard!!! lol

I'd also like to convert my songs on to CD-R, do most programs allow you to convert your song files into the file needed for this?

Thank you in advance for anyone answering my questions :-)

David.

Rebirth is a great starter program for techno or trance. It emulates some classic gear (808, 909, and two 303s!) and sounds great. Very very easy to use.

Its big brother Reason is much more flexible, and includes a virtual sampler module, and drum modules that support user samples. Its a little more complicated, but its the best all in one solution for electronic music.
