hey all.. I'm on the brink of getting a 17" powerbook and a motu 828 interface. it seems like the best thing for me. I'm a keyboard player and will be using the equipment primarily to record a 3-4 person band.
I'd like to get some feedback from the forum on this, and also what recording software you prefer. I've never had hands-on experience with any of them, but from what I've been reading it seems like protools, cubase, and logic are the forerunners. what's your favorite? also, one other thing I haven't been able to figure out is how exactly a mutichannel audio dvd can be burned. do I need expensive DVD production software, or can that kind of thing be set up in protoos, logic, etc.? Hope to hear from you all. |

All multi tracking programs will mix all of the tracks to 1. Once they are mixed down they are ready to be burned to disc. It might be a good idea to try out some of the demo or free programs out there. I prefer Metro 6, for it's simplicity.
