Oops, I meat to say does anyone have any experience with EMI 6/2 (not 2/6) although the only difference seems to be the MIDI in/out.

that's cool... MOTU and Digi001 & 002 are my favs
i use a Digi001 myself on main computer and the Emi on laptop The Presonous Firestation looks like a good choice too but you can't go wrong with MOTU.
