I am getting glitches during playback , with no live instrumetns plugged in. I have tried different buffer settings in the control panel window and it does nothing? Could it be the firewire cable or something else?

Well as far as I know first reason outside some software/hardware glitch is the fact you use the same drive for the system and audio…
The glitches could be the times when the Mac has to retrieves some things for the system and the buffers don't compensate the samples missing… You can still try another cable if you have one, but I don't believe it's that. What is the software you are using? in case someone has a better idea… -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home
