ive run into some trouble upgrading to 10.2.3 on my g4. first, there is two versions of the installer for download on apple's website. the 10.2.3 installer and the 10.2.3 combo installer. what is the difference between these two?
i downloaded the 10.2.3 installer and when i ran it, it told me that i did not have enough space on my hard drive to install. this is impossible because i have over 15gb of space on my hard drive and the installer only requires 932mb. can anyone help me out here? |

I think I read somewhere on macfixit that a few people have had problems with the incremental upgrade . 2.3 is a big update and the bulletproof way for system install is to do an archive install of 2.0 and then run the combo update .
least that one less thing to worry about if you have to trouble shoot later on . if you do an archive install you will have to reinstall any drivers . all the best |
