hello,
I just switched from pc to mac, and I "unfortunately" connected usb2 devices to the usb3 ports on my new mac mini, so how do I now reconfigre the usb ports back to usb3 speed again for my new usb3 devices? regards øivind jønland. http://en.440forums.com/forums/style_image...cons/icon14.gif |

as i understand it, the new mini's USB3 ports will work with USB2 when plugged to a USB2 device, yes. however, your post seems to suggest they somehow lock themselves to that speed after that. a quick look at Apple's support pages seems to say otherwise.
one way to check is to use the hardware system profiler. it'll show what drives are connected, and at what speeds. i'll be interested to hear an update on what you discover. |
