so I just received my new UltraLite today
and tried to use the install disc to
install MOTU drivers and AudioDesk

I can not install the MOTU drivers or AudioDesk
at item number 417
I get the error
1008:5, -35 Drive Not Found
Installing 11,1:2 Second Delay - Ins#40124

this sucks
I can not even install drivers or AudioDesk

so My ultralite is rendered to a bookend

any ideas?


pleeeze!

I hav etried many thngs and restarting
even with t he ultralite connected...
and on
also
have used applejack to repair permissions etc...
nothing works

So it seems others have this same issue
there are some bad install discs I hear:
the fix
or work around is:

The drivers (only, not audiodesk) may be able to installedfrom the the install disc, if not
Download from the MOTU site and use those.

Download the "upgrade" to Audiodesk 2.04 (the current latest version) which is actually the full version
it should install fine from that installer

heres the trick:

after installing from the DL'd version of Audiodesk

[i]you must have the original install disc in your mac[/i]

when you open audiodesk for the first time
you will be able to authorize it with the key code that came in the (back cover of ) audiodesk manual

it should work

also MOTU will send you a new install disc
thats how I got it working!
