I 'm running ProTools LE with an MBox on a 466 G4. Sometimes when I'm mixing a session or worse, when in the middle of recording, I get this horrible crackling noise, the song freezes, and I get an error message stating I need to increase my USB Buffer size. I DID THIS, BUT IT DIDN'T HELP! AAAAHHH! It also says for me to delete tracks and/or turn off some effects, but that's absurd! Those actions would be contradictory to the purpose of recording itself, WHat the HELL?!?! It will even do this after I only had TWO tracks running and NO effects at all! I don't get it, and I'm about to throw my MBox through my new 17 inch monitor. UGH!

Summary of reply from clouvel on the French side:
- get the latest update of the usb driver (and PT update while you're at it) http://www.digidesign.com/download/mbox.html - I had this type of prob with my Mbox (bad sound, clicks...) - my adsl modem on a hub was the cause. As soon as the modem was unplugged, everything worked fine Presto now: Digi equipment doesn't like usb hubs. Do you use one? -------------------- Without shit, we wouldn't be here ;)
