Hello!
I have Live 5.02 I want to upgrade for Live 6. I was wondering if my computer will be able to run it without click and pop and silence like it happend sometimes with Live 5. Will it be the same or worst? I have a PowerBook G4 1GHz, 768 Meg RAM, Mac Os 10.3.9, Mbox and no Vst at all. Thanks! |

hey i just upgraded to 6 as well on my 1ghz G4 ibook. as far as pops and such, it still happens, although it DOES seem a bit less, honestly. but maybe that's in my head because i absolutely love the new and upgraded features in 6. I do have to say that i can't wait to upgrade to a core 2 duo machine, but i was still wanting that when i had 5.2. i say go for the upgrade!

I haven't really had any problems with pops in almost a year. Partly I started running my loops off of an external HD but also because I increased my samples per second in preferences (which also increases latency but I can't tell the difference really).
