I have been playing with various audio packages on my G4.
I have been lucky enough to acquire another G4 and would like to link both of them together to get the most from my home studio.
My main package is Pro tools 7.
I also have a couple of other programs that I use occasionally.
Am I limited to just sharing files between the 2 computers if I connect them with an ethernet cable or can I get one of them to share a bit of the load when I'm working?

Any help or guidance would be welcome - I am afraid that I am not very competent in this area.

Thanks

Logic is the program where you can divide up intensive CPU duties & this is with Tiger, right? Still, considering the drain that virtual synths & plugs cause. It still is a pretty cool thing to be able to network this way. I don't actually have them "networked" but have slaved out my PC to my mac via my Oxygen 8 & the midi ins on my PC's soundcard & the PC's audio out goes out from its soundcard (an Emu 1820) into my Onyx mixer to my G4 laptop. Slightly archaic, but effective considering the hit my G4 takes just running Ableton Live.
