Hello all,

I have an old PC, which I’d like to use in my set up with my Powerbook.

I’d like to use Logic to send midi data to the PC to use it as a sound module.

So, could I get a soundcard for my PC, run my x-stations midi out to the PC’s midi in, then run the output from the PC’s soundcard to the X-stations input and record onto a channel in logic?

Would it work? Could I control parameters on say Absynth on the PC, with logic on the Powerbook?

Are there any other ways to incorporate a pc into a Mac setup?

Peace & Many Thank

I don't know much about the X station but if it has Usb & midi in & out you should be able to if the x station has both USB & midi in & out- M audio has a USB midisport that you may need to get midi from the mac/x-station to your pc (assuming that the interface/soundcard you get doesn't have midi ports - if it does you just need to get some midi cables)
