Hello,

How do I format the HD on my Powerbook please. Should I Zero it? What does writting 0's do anyway

Once done do I just book it from the OSX install disk?

Peace and Many Thanks

The "write 0" options should only be used when there are problems on the drive which can't seem to go with a normal format, as a safety belt. Else, it's a security mesure for preventing data recovery.

Now, remember, format the drive will make you lose ALL the data on the drive, so if there's anything you should keep, back it up!
