I recently got a used iMac G5 1.8 gHz desktop (80G internal hard drive and external partitioned 160G hard drive). It came loaded with a bunch of software including Logic Express 7. I have purchased an Mbox 2 with bundled Pro Tools LE 7 software but I was wondering if I can also use the Mbox 2 as my audio interface for recording to Logic Express.

I don't really do MIDI yet so I would mostly be recording vocals, guitars, drums, keyboards, etc.

Thanks for any responses.

In answer to the freeware plugs question...Yes Logic will support more freeware plugs than Pro Tools will. One simple answer though is that there is in existence an AU/RTAS adapter or a VST/RTAS adapter that can be purchased online that will allow both plug in formats to function within Pro Tools.
