Hey,
I just received a Mac G3 laptop as a gift and am planning on using it for recording. Yesterday I also purchased an Edirol UA-20 audio/midi interface. I tried installing the required software from this website. There is a UA-20 for Mac installation link about halfway down the page. I tried installing it by clicking the icon on my screen, which let me choose between 2 versions of the software; one for MacOs 9 and one for MacOs X. I clicked on MacOs X, as that is what I was using. Then there were directions (in Read_me) for me to install the program by clicking on the UA20USBdriver.pkg icon. This is where I encounter a problem, as a screen pops up saying "Open Failed. Couldn't open 'UA20USBdriver.pkg'" I am very new to Macs and have no idea where to go from here. no, I think this is definitely related to the attempt to unstuff the files. Too strange. When you get the .sit file, and doubleclick on it to open, what is happening? Also, does it show up as a 'box' icon for the .sit file? Have you tried downloading the file from the web page again? Or, would you like me to mail you the file separately (the .pkg file)? let me know. I know it can be frustrating getting all this stuff set up. peace, deacon -------------------- |
