Is anyone having a problem with the Presonus Firepod and OSX Tiger? My audio is now constantly cutting out.

Apparently there are bunches of unhappy Presonus users who use Audacity. It don't work. the error message is " Error while opening device. Plese check the input device settings and project sample rate."
Neither the audacity nor presonus wonks have a clue. But it also may be a Tiger issue also. I have a firebox, but it seems to be happening on their other products. Audacity is, or was, a pretty cool app that did all I needed at the moment. The firsbox, uh, looks nice. Sigh.
