I just got the new iMac 17" and I have loaded on Logic Express and cannot get it to work with my Midi. I use a Midiman controller through a Tascam 122 in thorugh USB. I can get the audio analog part of it to work, but it makes no Midi sound, although it receives the midi message and even records the Midi information, just no midi sound.
Any ideas on this? |

I'm not sure I know anyone who didn't do this the first time they hit Logic...
In the channel strip (on the left of your screen), you'll see that your track has slots for EQ, Inserts, Sends and I/O. Click and hold on the empty first slot of your I/O - this is for your input. From the pull downs you'll see things like 'mono' and 'stereo' etc.... under those you'll find your 'instruments', pick something like the EFM1 and hit your MIDI controller... now you'll hear some sounds... |
