Has anyone tried Tiger on a slow machine? I have a TiBook 550 with 1GB ram and am considering an upgrade. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

The arstechnica article is great, I'm into reading it (about to start page 3), lots of under the hood input on why things are like they are in a developer/editor point of view, yet still decipherable for the average mac geek.
The last 10.3.8 and 10.3.9 were definitely almost snappy, i can't wait to see Tiger running here myself. I'll install it on the old G3 too, any performance increase will be instantly seen on it (G3 BW 400).
