Hi all -
I hope nobody else has had this problem, but then maybe someone else has and can help me out. I just bought the Antares AutoTune 3 RTAS for my Digi001 rig and everytime I open the plugin it crashes my machine (G4 running 9.2.2). It appears to close out the project I'm working on while keeping the ProTools menus at the top of the screen and then locks up the machine fully (can't even force quit anything). Only once have I gotten a partial error message saying 'Unexpected Error - Finder ". I have spoken with tech support at Antares for the last couple of days and tried everything they have suggested to remedy and test the situation, but so far everything else works fine except this particular plugin, including Kantos (another Antares plugin.) I work as a Network Sys Admin at Stanford and really know what I'm doing as far as Mac troubleshooting and repair, but DANG, I'm frustrated with this one. I've tried running PT with an absolutely vanilla base level of extensions, tried reinstalling the plugin multiple times, etc. Anyone got any suggestions or experienced this before?!?! Anyone?!?! Yeah, I already tried throwing out the DAE and PT prefs. I keep trying it with different extensions loaded, and I'm just about out of ideas. I got it to crash out of the PT menus and go to DAE menus just as it froze to death. Dunno... I'm frustrated though. Antares says their developers are working on it, but they can't replicate the problem, so I may just be screwed here.
