I'm thinking of buying a Mac Mini to run Digital Performer 4 with Mach 5 in OSX. I need to be able to run up to 30 tracks of audio and a full orchestra's worth of midi. Has anybody tried this Will it work?

4.52 is better than 4.12
a Mac mini is really like a 1.5ghz powerbook (the faster mac mini) think of it in these terms and youll be about right. An externel firewire drive for your projects will make a decent difference. it is surprising what you can get by freezing tracks that said a G5 will be alot faster even the Imac G5 though again an external firewire drive would make a difference you do get what you pay for |
