My MIDI files sometimes drop notes using Studio 4. Tried configuring using both modem & printer ports. Could not hear any difference and using both ports seemed to cause really maddening problems elsewhere.
Other than the usual (shortening note stop times, etc.) any suggestions? I have a USB MIDIMAN (1 in-1 out). Might I get better results with it. My music is complex and the drop-outs seem to always occur after a series of very fast notes. For whatever it is worth, am running a beige G3 with sys. 9.0.4. Automedia III & SampleCell PCI cards. Use Finale 2001 for most of my sequencing. Thanks for any suggestions! |

i used the studio 4 happily for many years.
 beyond what LPM said, just make sure that the communication speed is set to low (1mhz), and that the sequencer isn't having memory problems.  or report back, of course...
