My MIDI files sometimes drop notes using Studio 4. Tried configuring using both modem & printer ports. Could not hear any difference and using both ports seemed to cause really maddening problems elsewhere.
Other than the usual (shortening note stop times, etc.) any suggestions? I have a USB MIDIMAN (1 in-1 out). Might I get better results with it. My music is complex and the drop-outs seem to always occur after a series of very fast notes. For whatever it is worth, am running a beige G3 with sys. 9.0.4. Automedia III & SampleCell PCI cards. Use Finale 2001 for most of my sequencing. Thanks for any suggestions! |

i used the studio 4 happily for many years.
![]() beyond what LPM said, just make sure that the communication speed is set to low (1mhz), and that the sequencer isn't having memory problems. ![]() or report back, of course... ![]() -------------------- one for all and all for one...
