Studio Moniters And Room Accoustics, Genelecs sound different |

Hey all i recently moved and ... now my studio is in a new room with new accoustics ... my genelecs sound terrible .... the bottom end is losted ... the mids are muddy and a few frequencies are resonating heaps and much louder than the others ....
anyone had this problem ........... what am i to do my genelecs suck in this room ,,,,,,,, I have no idea what to do what to buy
any help would be great thanks in adv

any help would be great thanks in adv Cheap advice: move the speakers around in the room. Bookcases = diffusion. Carpets, cutrtains, fabric covered furniture = absorbtion. Look into getting some acoustic treatment for the room. I recommend Real Traps. You can add them one at a time until the sound is evened out. More expensive than the foam stuff, but it works much better and isn't as ugly.
