Now that my iMac has arrived, I want to record vocals of pre recorded rhythms on CD, much like the live shows except in a studio setting.

What is a decent mic I can buy to record vocals in a little booth I plan on building. I will not be recording instruments - only vocals. I knows there are tons of mic am not sure which ones work best with the iMac or if it doesn't matter.

If anyone can also give me advise on building a little phone booth type enclosure for recording vocals, it would be appreciated.

I guess I can use the same Firebox hardware device that I will use on live performances, in my studio right?

Thanks

Brian Jones
