I'm plugging a Beyer Dynamic M500 Limited Edition ribbon mic straight into my Mbox, and I'm not getting sufficient gain into my Pro Tools software.
I've tried increasing the gain during post-production with the "Gain" function in the AudioSuite menu, but this increases the room noise to unacceptable levels. Can anyone recommend a solution? Maybe a good -- and QUIET -- pre-amp that can increase the gain before it gets into the Mbox? I'm open to ALL suggestions. thanks!!! |

In about the same leagues you have (well, the same… well)
FMR audio Really Nice Preamp (very clean) TFpro P3 (think Joemeek, brit sound) Mindprint Envoice (I'd say like the presonus) You should really try before buying anyway. -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home
