Hey,

I was wondering if there is a piece of hardware that would take left/right audio and and change it to fire wire so that I could record it into my computer. I also don't have a line in, so I'd rather not go from left/right audio to a 1/8'' jack.

Jase,
yes, its call a Firewire audio interface. There are several on the market to suit a variety different needs fron 2 (stereo) to 22+ channels. Although you may want to look into a USB interface for your needs. They are much cheaper. I'd recommend the Tascam US-122. Its high quality, very affordable and versatile.
