OWC support an excellent site xlr8yourmac which is the reference on all the possible upgrades. Wade thru it you'll learn the pros and cons in depth. Be very carefull to: - the eventual uncompatibility with non OSX systems or even before OS 9 ones. Depends of the ones you need. - the resultant bus speed - the spec in the field you especially need. Go G4 anyway, you need Altivec. All processor upgrades are not equals! Also have a look at the compatibility page on Digidesign site, as they list the upgrade they know work ok for them, if it works for Protools, it'll work for you
