Goldbaby has always been my first choice for drum machine samples, Hugo being a passionate expert collector and sample producer with a wide array of boutique processing gear and the skills to coax big sounds from them.Alien Drum Robots Attack Vol.1 and 2 takes things to a new level by creating a larger palette of conceptual kits, combining his vast drum machine knowledge, collection, and choice fx chains to great synergistic affect. These kits are tight, punchy, and yet somehow quite 'natural' in context, never sounding over-processed. The variety and overall gestalt is fantastic…I really, REALLY love these new volumes -)
