I think that is a good idea.

Any demo is a good idea, people can try the software without buying, hence you don't encourage people to actually use pirated apps as a lot are trying by pirating.

The right thing to do is also to give a simple way to remove the trial version… And to be outspoken on how (if it's by using the installer).
