It will be necessary wait.I now do not have problems with Logic and my G5.I do not want to serve as experiment.I will wait to version 10.4.4 or.5.At the moment with Panther I do not have headache.I believe that the precipitation of the companies to remove to express its products, are paying it all the users.Too many updates, too fast.So many updates confirm the precipitation in the releases.

An important thing to know for the ones who are buying new G5 supposed to boot only in tiger: you can boot in panther too wink.gif you just won't be able to install from the G5 so the solution is either to install on a drive on another computer and put back the drive in the G5, or to clone a system. Thanks to the guys at hardmac/macbidouille biggrin.gif They rock! laugh.gif cool.gif wink.gif

It'll help during the wait for compatible software (like Digi stuff). rolleyes.gif

The UAD-1 is not working with tiger, as of driver version 3.8.
I just bought one of the new 2x2.0 G5's (the mainboard is compatible to uad, the one of the 2.5/2.7's isn't). This one comes with Tiger pre-installed.
I was able to install Panther on the second HD, as a dual-boot system and it works fine.

Is a very good idea to have both systems in two hard disks. You always can start of the ¨good system¨ if other it fails to you,but which is the best system? at the moment Panther. In the future it's clear that Tiger. When it is thus, you already have your installed Tiger.

It's not because Tiger is out that everyone should go out and install it. Panther is awesome, Tiger is just out, give time to editors to follow up (and to bugs to be squashed big time wink.gif

During a fast test, I did not suceeded to get the Steath Port (Tiger updated) to work with Tiger on my dual 1.25 G4 : MIDI Interfaces (MTPs) are shown, but not MIDI pass thru it....Anyone else?

Tiger and MOTU Digital Performer 4.52 and MOTU interfaces and M-Audio audio interface all work for me. Oh, and Finale is working well too. No problems at all. Quicksilver 933Mhz G4.
