Jesus, really. Fate. What's the old one, let sleeping dogs lie? I mean OSX and core midi meant that OMS was finally out after years of buggy 2.3.8 and now some idiots go and re-issue it please no!

Oh well lets hope they live up to the name of the once proud and founding father of apple midi.

Wouldn't it be funny if they got left by the wayside again in a couple of years time but were used exclusively by big name programs so you were forced to live without any updates for years and years and suffer almost every session with missing master kbd midi or corrupt setups etc etc huh.gif

I was only sad at the time of the demise of the Vision Sequencer. It was my first and I was very comfortable with it. It became so easy to use. I thought that we had a future together (smile) But Alas, I've been forced to go on to better things. I'm just reminiscing on that, not on the OMS, and on my Video by Gerry Bassermann. I wonder "Where is he now"?

Merry Christmas to Everyone!!!!

Greetings.

Desiring to leave you with good tidings, but not wishing to
offendanyone, I want to give you all my best wishes for an
environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress,
non-addictive, gender neutral, winter solstice holiday, practiced
within the most joyous traditions of the religious persuasion of your
choice, but with respect for the religious persuasion of others who
choose to practice their own religion as well as those who choose not
to practice a religion at all; Additionally, a fiscally successful,
personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the
generally accepted calendar year 2005, but not without due respect for
the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions have
helped make our society great, without regard to the race, creed,
color, religious, or sexual preferences of the wishees.

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It implies no
promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for
himself or others and no responsibility for any unintended emotional
stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday
spirit. In other words, Happy Holidays!

I don't know where Mac Music got this "news" from but it certainly looks like a hoax to me. The link provided just leads to the same old Opcode download page, and not a word on it about any "resurrection."

Is it April 1 already?

:-)

Kind regards.

PS -- I hope they stay dead -- IMO OMS was inefficient and over-complex anyway, compared to FreeMIDI. Plus its original author now works for Apple architecting the OS X CoreMIDI framework.
