Comments about:

DP 4.12 update

Well, it seems 4.12 is still buggy…

powerbooks
- unstability, unexpected quits
- rerecording thru the busses = sometimes it works, sometimes it bombs
- background treatments seem to give headaches

biprocressor G4
- DP quits when you close a session to open another or even at start up
- DP is sloooooooooooooooow

A user reported no ploblem on a biprocessor G5 (but DFH superior doesn't work)

On the MachFive side, the MAS version doesn't work at all (powerbook): freeze whatever you do.
And one user has some troubles with his Powercore fw…

If it does/doesn't work let us know. MOTU will read that!

This updater updates two plug-ins, Reverse and Invert Phase, from v1.0 to v1.0.1 to fix a problem with them not appearing in the Audio Menu. This problem had already been addressed and fixed by MOTU in another updater prior to the DP4.12 updater.

The problem only arose when people reinstalled DP from their original 4.0x CDs and hadn't kept backup copies of the updaters issued on MOTU's site. MOTU issued this new "old" update to address this problem.

This underlines the simple good sense of backing up all your updaters :-)

With regard to bugs, DP4.5 is now available and looks yummy :-)

Yep!

4.5 (US) will be available in about 8 days (from UMD French MOTU distributor).

Maybe they rised the version to 4.5 fast to jump out of bugs
At least MOTU is alive and kickin'
