Edirol it seems has put a Unix Executable version into the downloads for the SD-20,
This download will not install properly onto OSX, I've alerted Edirol about it.
I hope that they can change this download software to the correct installer for OSX.

The version I tested was emailed to me from Edirol, Hopefully Edirol will fix this problem A.S.A.P.

After numerous emails back and forth with Edirol,
I have managed to get a response with someone that will fix the problem.

I've emailed my copy of the pre-release version back to Edirol and hopefully
they can swap the wrong file with the correct file in the Edirol downloads for the
SD-20 Editor software.

However this may mean that the link that is provided here may become a dead
link and will have to be renewed to a correct link once the files have been swapped.

If that happens then try going directly to the Edirol downloads at:
http://www.edirol.com/products/info/sdxx/editor.html

Sorry for the confusion.

BTW, I am not connected with Edirol in any way shape or form,
I'm just a multimedia Artist that just happened to be caught in the middle of this,
But due to my sense of fair play I had to see this through until it was resolved.

Cheers!

Here's a copy of a letter that I have sent to the webmaster at Edirol

QUOTE
Hi,
I have a pre-release version of this software that was given to me by the artists@edirol.com
Ted Rosen asked me to send it back to him because the SD-20 OSX editor that is presently
available to the general public on the edirol website is a UNIX version and it can't be opened
and installed on a OSX Apple Macintosh computer.

So after a lot of round about running around and nothing getting done about this problem,
I have been referred to this email address to help resolve this issue,
I am attaching the program that was given to me in hopes that someone in your dept.
will upload it to the Edirol website for distribution to the general public.
The file is "Zipped" but will open and can be used on a Apple Macintosh computer
running OSX up to OSX 10.3.4 (It has been beta tested by me at no charge)
The program has a VISE© installer and has an Edirol read me embedded in the installer.
I have also announced the release of this utility on www.macmusic.org

P.S. Please upload this program to the Edirol downloads for the OSX editor for the SD-20

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
David Lawrence (a Multimedia Artist)

So hopefully those that are still waiting for Edirol to upload the correct SD-20 editor will be able to download a working and installable copy soon.

Cheers!
