Hey all,
Does anybody know how ebay can offer such cheap versions of Logic Pro?
I don't get how they can sell them "sealed never opened" for so cheap. Just another ebay scam?
Curious if anybody has experience w/ software via ebay or any insights.
Thank you in advance for your reply.

I have bought software in Ebay, and never had problems. You must verify the reliability of the store. Also to verify if a educational version or not. The educational version you cannot update it.

Yes. Watch out for academic and "promotional" versions. They come off cheap, but you cannot upgrade them. Later, when you want to upgrade, you're stuck. My advice is to pay the $ and get the fully upgradable version. You'll be glad you did in the long run.

I recently graduated from college and have bought many academic versions of software and have been able to upgrade via the same upgrades as anybody else. I have never heard of academic versions of software being unable to be upgraded.

The academic version of Logic and Final Cut, cannot be updated. Other soft, I don't know but I think that if you aren't a student, no. Otherwise everybody would buy the academic versions. eBay is full!

The other, slightly round about, but often cheaper way to go about getting Logic on ebay is to find an older version and update, i was able to find a Pro Logic 6 for cheap and then upgraded.
