The firebox is advertised as having two mic-pre's and two line-ins. Does this mean two or four simultaneous recorded tracks? Thanks, I wasn't clear by the other threads. Is the software nessecary?

As it says on the PreSonus website: six inputs, 10 outputs simultaneously.
