Did anybody reply to the Lexicon 480L ad in the classifieds for sale ? It ran from the beginning of May and I responded and agreed to buy it. Wired the money to him and I've still not received it. He won't answer email or telephone so have started a Fraud investigation with police and my bank.
If anyone has had any dealings with or knows anything about Mogul Music of Seattle 98121, please get in touch.
sincerely

Yes, his name is Reggie Anderson. I don't know his address, only the Zip code from the advert.

I would be very interested in anyone with more information on this guy. He ordered $1,000 worth of merchandise from my online store usinig a stolen credit card. Like you, he won't return my calls either. He ordered from me in July and I didn't find out that the card was stolen until a couple of weeks ago. I was very suspicious of his order, but talked to him and got somewhat comfortable, so I shipped it. Now I'm taking a $1K hit. He used the name A Gavard and had the order shipped to 211 1st Ave in Seattle. His cell phone number is 206-391-2117 and his other number is 206-333-3436. I suspect he has ripped off many people. I we can find this sucker let's nail his ass. Oh, his email address is ifso98121@yahoo.com which I suspect gives away his real zip code...

There's no one in the database with this email. But Mogul Music is in the database, no activity on the server since May.
M Harp, I think the police can do something for you, given the repeated experiences of US friends on musical mailing lists. County police do follow these morrons and catch them. Handle all the info you have to them, that's better than most can give usually in these kinds of swindles.
Anyway be very carefull with ebay frauds, western Union wirings, credit card handling. Always impose security conditions: honnorable fellows won't see any trouble into following them. Swindlers won't answer or try to sly away from it. In doubt, use a Money Escrow (not Paypal, it's not one). Also, usually very good opportunities simply aren't ones!
:sad
Hope you'll recover your money both

I was shocked to hear these Post regarding Mogul Music. I am responsible for selling items for Mogul Music. In regards to the frist issue, any equipment sold would have been sold by myself. At no time did I or any reprensentivie of Mogul Music Sell an item to this guy nor was any fraud comitted. Mogul Music is beyond reproach and has a sparkling record when selling our used gear. This claim of FRAUD is Slanderous. Speaking on behalf of myself, Owners, Trey, Wes and Reggie, and the entire Mogul Music staff and artist, we want the public to know there are always two sides to every story and the fact that anyone can post slanderous material without any verification or facts is down right unfair.
Best Wishes,

AND TO THE GUYS AT MOGUL MUSIC, THOSE WHO HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH YOU TRULY KNOW WHAT YOUR COMPANY IS ABOUT. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK FELLAS. LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING YOUR NEW ARTIST.

Mr "Sony Music" and "Don Staffney"
First, DON'T SHOUT!
Second, if Mogul music is innocent or whatever, it can be easily solved? uh?
Else the police will do its job, I can't tell if this is slander but I can see when people try to fraud in the forum. If a swindle there is, there are police procedures now to enquire on this.
Third, WHY have you BOTH the same IP as some of the Mogul Music ID just registered here?
(uh oh)
And I'd like everyone in this thread to register to the site. NOW!
I'm monitoring and I see the frauds here! (no need to register to see what I need to). I'm getting very very very suspiscious on the part defending Mogul music.
BTW, multiplication of threads on this matter will not be tolerated.

These emotionally charged replies look suspicious to me. My transaction with Mogul Music did not involve music related merchandise. It was nearly $1K of copper cookware at my store CopperPans.com. I don't know if the person is Reggie Anderson or not - he used the name A Gavard when he placed his order and had it shipped to Mogul Music. The telephone numbers I have are answered as Mogul Music or Mogul Media. I came across this forum and thread by doing a Google search for Mogul Music. I can find no telephone number listed for this company in Seattle. If in fact it was Mr. Anderson that purchased the merchandise from my store, he could return the phone calls and arrange to pay me. I have contacted the Seattle police department and have filed a complaint with the IFCC. I will post no more on the subject. Anyone wishing to exchange information should contact me as requested in my prior post.

Hey lepetitmartien, why not fire off an email to Sony Music and ask them if they employ an A&R person named Al B. If they don't, you know the reply is bogus. If they do, email him and see if he did indeed write this reply. If it wasn't him, whoever wrote it has committed serious fraud (personation).

Reginal Anderson (Mogul Music) wrote my business a check on a closed account! He will not return calls or pay his debt! He may do good work in the industry but he like to rip people off!!

WOW ! surprise,surprise !
Well, I've sent you an email "andy" and if you can help in any way I'd be grateful.
Even after all this time I haven't forgotten about this and if it wasn't for the distance
I would have gotten more personally involved.
However, despite police assurances of an investigation, I've heard absolutely
nothing. Obviously not "big"enough !
Ditto from my bank's request for the return of the funds.
Even heard nothing from the IFCC !!!
But, to all the people who did genuinely respond, thanks for your concern and I will post
if there's any outcome.

Right now, from all we have seen, everything leeds to thinks Mogul music is a fraud, one of the most funny is upper in the thread, with obviously (I have the IPs, mind!) mogul music defending itself by using a different "member".
If Mogul Music is a good trader, he knows what he has to do already and for a long time.

well, i hear something about it in the radio the other day, but i dont know much, by the way anybody are interesting on prepaid cards calling, well I found an amazing website the other day. they sell phone cards to call anywhere from the USA. you can call India from XYZ cents per minute. Also, you get a USA $5 phone card with your 1st purchase. Not only that, you will also earn points for every dollar you spend and you will be able to exchange your points for great rewards.

I got taken by "Reggie Anderson" as well a few weeks ago. Luckily off eBay and paid through Paypal with cc so I'm hoping I should be allright. I actually read this post awhile back, but didn't put 2 and 2 together. Besides, didn't say Reggie Anderson until the paypal process, he used "livemusicinc@gmail.com" as the email and ebay name livemusiclive.
He posted a Lexicon M480L on eBay after signing up on June 1, 2009. No feedback, and was too cheap ($2000) so I should have been more suspicious.
He emailed, will be shipping soon, and just pulled from the studio will provide a tracking number soon. A week and a half later after numerous requests no tracking number, no package to date. He is now no longer a registered user on eBay (surprise, surprise).
I wish they would actually do more than just refund the money as it looks like he will just keep pulling the same scam, some will have no recourse!

They refund the money according to the eBay/Paypal procedure (good you could!) but the rest is a police job.
You can still try to complain to the police but given you got your money back it won't be first in line anyway.
As I keep telling it: beware of too good to be true deals, use SECURE money handlings like money escrows. Swindlers don't like that.
