I am new to apple world .. after being a PC bigot for sooo long. Having difficulties hooking up the Tascam 428 to Garageband. any clues??

Well, you gotta be just a little more specific. What are you having trouble with? Did you load the drivers that came with the 428? Did you go online to check for driver updates and load them, if necessary? What is your operating system? Is it compatible with the 428 according to Tascam's website (if you are on OSX 10.5 it may more may not be compatible)? Did you go into the Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities/Audio Midi Setup folder and select the 428 as your input/output device? Is the record button on when you try to record something? These are just a few things right off the top of my head that may be the problem.
