Hi, everybody smile.gif

I've began working with Logic Pro 8 and I have a problem. Perhaps someone can enlighten me on what is going on.

I've created an audio track in my project and inserted an apple loop, which I would like to edit. In order to use the sample editor functions on the region, I first need to convert the Apple Loop into an audio file. The tutorial says that I need to choose "Convert region into audio file" under the "Audio". A "save region as" dialogue appears and I should change the file format into either SDII or WAV format.

But when I do as suggested, a message appears informing me that I can only change the Apple Loop file into the AIFF format. AIFF format gives me another Apple Loop and I can do no editing on that.

How do I go about this problem? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Select the track that contains the apple loop you want to work with. Solo the track and bounce the project. Make sure you check add to audio bin b4 bouncing.

Now the apple loop will be a standard PCM wafeform which you can edit to your hearts content.
