Hello fellow Machanics,

Has any one experienced this ??
Or am I doing something terribly wrong !!

Basically - I create several bus objects ( or whatever they are now called in LP8 ).
Put these in environment layer marked bus.
Carry on mixing my song and doing the usual stuff...mainly working in the mixer view.
At some point I inevitably group the busses and pull the level down in unison say if things get 'too hot' in master out.
Then ungroup busses and here it is..........
THE BUS OBJECTS DISAPPEAR at random in their environment !!!
I first noticed something was amiss when visiting bus environment layer some chanel strips were missing within the line up.
Last nite I grouped and ungrouped the bus channels whilst in the environment and right before my eyes everytime I grouped / ungrouped a channel strip would disappear.
I did this until one-by-one they all vanished !!

I haven't had time to see if I leave the bus channels in the main audio layer if this happens but I will test this later this week.

Am I going crazy ?
Doing something wrong ?
Or not drinking enough strong ale ??

Comments / advice most welcome.

P.S - several minor problems that I previously reported with LP7 have cleared up in LP8 - just these disappearing busses bugging me now !!

sounds like what is sometimes called a 'FEATURE' blink.gif hehe or at least thats what we used to call those sort of manageable issues that creep into workflows sometimes. sad.gif

Maybe too much ale? tongue.gif

I have no problem in Logic 8.0.1 with disappearing bus or aux objects (or anything for that matter - as long as the objects stay in their original Layer.
But..............I tried your setup - cut and pasted the strips to a new layer.
You're correct!! They "disappear" - it seems they get transported to a different layer. I have a 2nd environment window open with another layer shown, and the "lost" strip appeared there!!

The solution would be to keep your audio strips all on their original layer.
I'd report this Apple - this is most certainly a bug in my opinion.

Regards - Colin
