I was planning to buy an firewire audio interface tomorrow, I was worried because my mac is a new intel based one and i thought there was not any driver ready yet.

Well, i just remember that there are some audio intefaces that dont need any kind of external driver to work. and i got to the conclusion that these devices should work perfectly on both intel and PPC platforms right out of the box because they fully rely on the operating system.

am i right? i need confirmation thanks in advance.
