I am going to be setting up a Mackie Ultramix Automation system for my studio. My main components are; Mackie 32in 8buss mixer for tracking and mixing, Alesis ADAT HD 24 for multi track recording and a TC Electronic Finalizer and Alesis Masterlink for stereo mixdown. I am interested in learning any "real world" advice from anyone who is familiar with the Ultramix system. The computer I will be trying to use is a Mac 540C Powermac laptop running OS8. Thanks for any support you can offer.

From what I know you will not be seeing any legacy OS support, OSX or nothing.
