I'm running DP 4.6 on a G5 tower, dual 2 GHz, 1.5 gig 'o ram. Everything loads and then it hangs for way to long before the file open dialog. Any ideas?

May be the case of some plug ins don't pass the AU inspection.
Try trashing DP's preference and start it over.
If it still hanged, remove all AU plug ins and restart. Then keep adding AU plug in one at a time to see which one causes trouble.

Thanks. I think it was Waves. I have to learn to leave it alone when it's working fine instead of trying to add everything under the sun. Best to get to the playing music part. ;-)
