i've recently buyed a new g4 933 but i don't see any improvement with my previous g4 400... i think it will probably be the memory assigment... anybody know what are the best configuration? i have 750 mb of ram and i use dae... thanks
damann
depending on which system you use, leave 50 to 60 meg for the system, from there it's about how many plugs you're trying to run on the dae, 50 meg for the dae should cover.
i use vst plugs in logic and give logic 650 meg, this sounds like a lot but if you're using a lot of plugs it really isn't. wink.gif
the more ram you give an app, the more plugs you can run/the smoother everything runs! smile.gif
to give you an idea, from 650 meg i get average 8 vsti and 24 fx plugs.
also, prune the extensions folder and rebuild the desktop folder. angry.gif
