Hello,
I have a problem with reason recognizing my US428 as a midi controler. In fact it doesn't actually give me any midi options in the preference menu at all.
My spec is:
ibook G3 500MHz, 256ram OS 9.2.2
I have installed the latest tascam driver (3.07) i got from the download page. I have also read the various acrobat files, but i'm a bit stuck.
Any suggestions, anyone?

for any apps to recognize midi on a mac... you need to make sure you have either OMS or Freemidi installed. Those are the apps that make midi connections internally on a mac. I would suggest using OMS version 2.3.8. Then you have to configure this app to recognize your Tascam before any other apps will recognize it. Then once you have OMS setup correctly... Reason will probably recognize your controller.

Search around for opcode oms on net if you don't already have it. Its free.

not quite true synthetic. wink.gif
logic will deal with midi happily without either oms or freemidi.
cubase will talk to reason as long as you implement rewire. smile.gif
there's a new thread on this site that informs us that a new version of reason has just been released. i'll be shocked if it relies on oms or free midi! angry.gif
here's to the future...

Thanx for the suggestions. I'm rolling now.
