just wondering...has anyone used the tascam us-428 as a control surface with the ableton live app? it works as a sound interface for me, but i can't get the faders or transport to work.

I'm pretty sure Live doesn't directly support the 428's control surface. I've not used it (Live) myself, but I think it's set up like Reason where you need to manually assign each knob/fader using a MIDI learn function somewhere in Live's setup options. Since Tascam has no more user forums, you might want to check with Ableton.
