I recently upgraded DP to 4.1.2 and haven't been able to get it to recognize any of the Audio Units. I have installed Crystal the free synth and pro-53 by live instruments into the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ folder in os x.2.8 and none are available to add to an instrument track. I have tried trashing every Digital performer preference file I could find. I read that it might take a few minutes to load DP after installing a new component and that it won't load them if they are damaged, but DP doesn't even attempt to load the .component files among all of its own plugins.

If anybody has any ideas it would be much appreciated. Like where does DP keep info on components? Has anybody had and resolved this issue?

MAS AudioUnit Support.bundle

You need this file in your Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/MAS folder. Certain upgrade paths (believe it or not) omit this file!! Amazing but true. You may have to back to an older version just to get this file.

After the pain, carry on!

DP 4.12 has changed the way it handles plug-ins.

1. Project --> Add Track --> Instrument Track
will show all virtual instruments properly installed.
An instrument will be created after launch.

2. Repeat step 1 to create an empty midi track to play
and record instrument. Also, you could multi record into
and an empty Audio Track following above steps.

3. All this stuff is properly documented.

Are you aware of www.unicornation.com website? It's for MotU users. It's a great site.

Best of luck
