As the title suggests, I have yet to download any music from the internet.
Everything I have looked at only seems to be for PC's. I have a Mac G3 running OS9.2. Can some one help me to get started please. |

When downloading music on a mac, you will want to download mp3's only. To download a mp3 just click and hold down the mouse (optical mouse) on the target to be downloaded, a window will open asking where to save, choose the apropriate spot, and done. If it is a PC only thing, it probably is not a downloadable file, but rather a streeming type of file (WMA. .rm (Real media) ect.) Most reputable sites can be streemed using iTunes.

This has been a good thread for me, as a newbie, with zip techo experience, I thank you all for the links (Yamaha, MOTU) for audio interfaces and the lack of 'attitude.'
I have firewire, PCI slot and run Jaguar on 1Ghz G4 with 512 MB. I have a very limited income right now, as I wait for disability (SSD) to kick in. I'd like to know the bottom end systems to start recording, and maybe the next system up from that. Thanks. I play an acoustic instrument. Bob A |
