You do know that the Radium has no sounds of its own, right? Are you trying to use it with a specific instrument? Need more info...

yea, i'm trying to get Logic to recognize the keyboard and i can't hear anything. This envirnment is hte most confusing and difficult thing about Logic to me. I'm just trying to get sounds out of it. when i should hear things, i do not.

Forget the environment for a second... exactly how are you trying to 'get sounds out of it'? What specifically are you doing that makes it so that you 'should hear things'? You need to have some kind of sound source, like a virtual instrument, assigned to the Radium before you'll hear any sounds. And the audio instruments found in the default Logic song (e.g. grand piano, etc.) don't count - those are just examples of how you can set up your autoload...

More infomation is needed. Did you have a sound source, modual or vertual instument? Did you set every thing up in the Apple midi audio interface? Dose that keyboard go in via usb or midi ? Do you have a midi interface if it is midi?

I've got a Radium hooked up via usb into my computer, a g5. the audio.midi does not reconize the keyboard by brand name. only by external device. This could be the problem. everyhting else runs through my motu 828mk2. Is that helpful I tried to install the panther update for the radium but still no luck.

You still haven't told us what you're trying to get sound from. Again, the Radium is not a synthesizer, it's a MIDI controller - it has NO sounds of its own. No matter how many drivers and OS updates you install, you will not get any sound out of your Radium in Logic unless you have assigned a source like a virtual instrument or hardware synth module to it.

sorry. new to all this stuff. Well, i can assign the radium to anythinhg, but when I open my midi/audio file, it just says external device. andy the keystation por thtat usually is there is missing also. The ony midi port is the All tab or the MOTU 828 which I never use to put midi through since i can just tattach it to my usb port. I've tried to run ti through the software synths, es m esp ect. i cna't play a note thoug hand trigger the sounds, put the sounds themselves work from the playing of the metronome to the synth sounds. that works

352-250-7053. thanks guys

established : Logic end of things is fine, sound will come out of the computer.

Problem : located somewhere between the Radium and the machine hardware.

1. Check all leads are properly connected, check the keyboard is turned on tongue.gif

2. If there are drivers for the keyboard go download them now from www.m-audio.com

3. Try rebooting, rescanning in the Applications/Utilities/Apple Audio/Midi application.

Are you running the keyboard from USB power or an external source?

External source : Check it's turned on

USB Power : Is it connected via a hub? Try direct connecting it to the G5.

ok, everything is connected...drivers done....scanned millions of times, rebooted too, the radium is internal usb source, and it's connected into g5... this sucks....

thanks for all your help though guys!
