Hello

I have just acquired the 828 mk2 that i consider to be a great soundcard
But there are 2 points for which problems occured-
1* i try to record via the in optical toslink from my akai s6000 optical out
in order to have a direct and raw sound
samplitude is my recording software
no signal or sound is OR can be detected or recorded ? blink.gif

2* i have serious interferences coming from my 828 mk2,
is this due to the fact that the sound card is place right underneath my akai s6000, and maybe it deserves a better
location in order to prevent such harrasement? angry.gif

my pc SET includes
Intel 4 3 mghz+Asus p4p800 deluxe+1 gig of ram + 2 x 120 gig hard disks

i will appreciate your help biggrin.gif
Have a great DAY

Hi DANC,

I am not too well acquainted with all this material. I have managed to find solutions using the 828mkII with cubase SX2 with my macintosh. I know nothing about optical device.

I suggest you to get in touch with brian holden who has a great knowledge in those fields.

I guess your problem is due to the main out connection of the vst plugins in samplitude. i had the same problem with cubase.
I suppose you have a set up menu somewhere in samplitude concerning the vst. Make sure the channels are turned on "yes".

Sorry for not beeing able to help you more and better.

Good luck

frederic
